Community Rules
Last updated: 4 May 2026
BrokerThreads exists to give traders an honest place to discuss brokers and trading platforms. These rules keep the forum useful — please read them before posting.
1. Be a real person
Every account is verified by our moderation team before it can post or vote. Sock-puppet accounts, bot networks and any attempt at coordinated voting result in an immediate ban for all linked accounts.
2. First-hand experience only
Threads must be about a broker you have personally used. "I heard from a friend that…" posts will be removed. If you are recounting a friend's experience, say so explicitly and let them weigh in directly.
3. No paid posts
Reviews written in exchange for compensation, free credit, affiliate commissions or any other incentive are forbidden. We take this seriously: paid posts are deleted and posters are banned. If you suspect a paid post, hit "report".
4. Be specific
"Avoid this broker" is not a useful thread. "Withdrew $5,000 from broker X on 12 March, status stuck on 'compliance review' for 14 days, support replies with copy-paste apologies" is a useful thread. Specifics let other members verify.
5. Don't dox
Do not share account numbers, full e-mail addresses, phone numbers or other personal data — yours or anyone else's. Personal data in posts is removed and may result in a ban.
6. Disagree well
You can disagree forcefully but you cannot insult. Personal attacks, slurs and threats result in removal of the comment and, on repeat, the account.
7. No spam
Affiliate links, referral codes, "DM me for details" posts and SEO-pumping comments are spam. They are removed on sight.
8. Source your numbers
Claims about fees, spreads, withdrawal times etc. should reference the broker's published rate card or your own statements. Saying "they charge 2% on FX" without a source is not an argument.
9. Brokers can reply
Brokers and platforms are welcome to reply to threads about them, but they must use a verified [staff] badge. Brokers replying via fake user accounts is a permanent ban for the company.
10. Moderators can intervene
Our moderation team can lock threads, remove posts and ban accounts when these rules are broken. Disputes can be e-mailed to moderation@broker-threads.com — we read every appeal.
11. Reviews are opinions
Threads on BrokerThreads represent the personal experiences of their authors and are not financial, investment, legal or tax advice. Trading involves risk; do your own research before acting on anything you read here.
